Expert System for Saving Product Selection for Clients of OVB Allfinanz, a.s.

This Master´s thesis deals with the topic of optional saving for retirement. The pension schemes of selected European countries and of the Czech Republic are described. Also the current situation and the problems these schemes are facing are analyzed. The thesis focuses on the forthcoming pension scheme reform in the Czech Republic. Further, the possible ways of the complementary pension scheme pillar financing using saving products are analyzed in detail. The objective of the thesis is to design an expert system for optimal saving product selection according to client´s individual requirements.
The Evaluation of Pension Funds with the Usage of Fuzzy Logic

Cielom diplomovej prace je vytvorenie expertného systému založeného na modeloch fuzzy logiky v programoch Excel a MATLAB, pomocou ktorého je možné ohodnotiť rôzne dôchodkové fondy a ďalšie finančné produkty. Vzhľadom na prehlbujúcu sa demografickú krízu, práca ponúka návrhy optimálneho investičného mixu pre tri modelové situácie s cieľom dodatočného finančného zabezpečenia počas dôchodkového veku. Práca je spracovaná pre podmienky Slovenskej republiky, podľa súčasnej situácie a platnej legislatívy.
Funds of the supplementary pension savings in the pension system of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with problems asociated with pensions scheme in the Czech Republic and judge the effect of the pension reform on this market segment. The theoretical part is focused on the general characteristics of pension systems, history and present development of the pension scheme in the Czech Republic. It also describes transformed and participant funds and explain their origins. The practical part compares the strategy and revenues of pension companies operating in the Czech Republic. Pension companies are evaluated on the basis of the number of participants, including their deposits and the number of funds offered, which are evaluated on the basis of their profitability and risk. At the end of the work, the best pension company is evaluated based on a simple sum order method for real data.
Pension insurance in the Czech Republic

The purpose of the theses is an analysis of the Czech pension system. The paper is mainly focused on recent Czech pension scheme legislation with special attention to the old age pension. It describes in detail the second pillar of the pension scheme introduced by 1 January 2013 allowing participants to opt-out of state pension insurance and saving according to individual pension plans. The paper also explains changes in legislation that affect the third pillar - subsidized pension saving. The thesis result is a description of the pension scheme legislation in the Czech Republic effective from the beginning of 2013.
The Employment of Seniors in Relation to their Claim on Old-aged Pensions

The current trend of demographic aging can be alleviated by extending the working activity of older workers and seniors. In this thesis the attention is focused on the relationship between the employment of older people and setting of the pension scheme, since both affect the behaviour of older workers and seniors. The aim of this thesis was to find out the level of employment support of older workers and seniors, and to describe not only the view of seniors, who continue with work after their claim on old-aged pension but also attitudes of the potential employers on this group of workers. Secondary data analysis with emphasis on foreign experience and qualitative interviews supplemented by quantitative research were used as research methods. The research has shown that the pension system does not motivate older people to delay retirement, the level of education in old age is undersized and the awareness of current trends and opportunities in the field of seniors employment is missing.

- 1 - Material security of the elderly - old age pension and pension reform Abstract The topic of this diploma thesis is the material security of the elderly - old age pension and pension reform. Its aim is to present the issue of old-age pensions in detail, to point out the shortcomings of the Czech pension system and offer the possibility of comparing it with the pension systems of Chile, Great Britain and Sweden. The first part defines the legal regulation of old-age pensions and their purpose. The conditions of entitlement to a pension are also described, namely the retirement age and the condition for obtaining the required period of pension insurance. The calculation and amount of old-age pensions are outlined and individual types of this pension are illustrated by using model example. Moreover, the issue of working pensioners is discussed. The second part of the thesis deals with the organization and management of the material security of the elderly. Specifically, the competence of social security authorities in this area is determined and then the individual phases of proceedings before these authorities are described. Comparison of Pension System of the Czech Republic and United Kingdom

The main theme of the bachelor thesis is analysis the settings and possible risks of pension system in Czech Republic and its comparison with the setting of the pension system in the United Kingdom. The first part is an introduction to the problematics of social security. The study also included a general description of pension systems, their classification and methods of financing. Analysis of pension systems both compared countries shows the progression from history to the present state. Following comparison is made based on data obtained from demographical and economical index number, of which are derived suggestions and recommendations for improving the functioning of the Czech pension system.

Establishing Old Age Pension Retirement Age Limits

Establishing retirement age is a key issue for each and every pension system. How this issue is resolved is palpable for every citizen and also has a major political dimension. The main reasons for increasing the retirement age - which is occurring in all European countries - are demographic development and economic factors, such as higher life expectancy, increasing the proportion of pensioners to the number of economically active people, and the growing costs for the pension system. This thesis describes the current reform steps in Europe and provides a thorough analysis of factors which are relevant for dealing with retirement age issues. The analysis is based on official statistical data, which are scrutinized even in mutual correlations. The need for an interdisciplinary approach which eliminates unilateral vistas and biased application of data lifted out of context and long-term trends is emphasized. Special attention is paid to the genesis and current solutions regarding the retirement age in the Czech Republic. This thesis offers reasoning which supports setting 65 years of age as the statutory retirement age, including the mechanism for increasing it depending on how the life expectancy factor develops.
